Sluce Specifics
- SluceM comes in two formats - SluceM Relay and SluceM PoP3.
- SluceM Relay is for users who have a Enterprise level local mail server, like Exchange, that handles their mail profiles and end users connect to the local server using Outlook, for example.
- SluceM PoP3 is for users who utilize a web based mail server associated with their website and connect via a PoP3 connection using Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora or another mail client.
- All Messages are filtered through the SluceM Server.
- All definite spam is deleted and all mail that is likely spam is tagged {spam?} and can be filtered using message rules at the local server or user level.
- Messages with Executable attachments are Quarantined and the end recipient is then notified that they have a message in Quarantine.
- The Bayesian engine is trained by forwarding that email message to the appropriate whitelist [for good mail] and blacklist [for spam] e-mail addresses.
