Tom,
You're spot on! One thing I'm doing, is what has been dubbed 'intimate marketing'...I can't claim this as my idea - but it's a good one. I'm inviting a mixed group of old customers, current customers, and potential new customers to private dinners. These are small groups (10-12 people including me) where we don't talk about my company, but rather a specific theme/or topics around what they're doing in their businesses that might help the entire group. Again - these are trusted, high-level (mostly CXO's) people who can come together in a private setting to share insights and ideas that may help others. It's also a good networking opportunity so they can meet others in the group they may not know - but will now be able to communicate/network with. Relationships are critical for all of us in the small business community - they always have been - but now more than ever. Thank you Tom.

Great hints. Thanks Tom. So I'm thinking of doing a short one page customer newsletter with a focus on items that are of interest and helpful to them. Or should I just try to get them one the phone....so difficult!!
