Internet Marketing Advent CalendarThis is an entry in our daily Internet Marketing Advent Calendar series. Each day your favorite marketing elves Kasi and Amanda will focus on a new topic to get your internet marketing in order before the start of the new year.

Your website needs to work on mobile platforms

Tis the season for googling what we want for Christmas and reports are saying smart phones are high on people’s lists this year. Do you have a cell phone with the internet? Does your spouse? Does one of your employees? You need to go and see what your website looks like on a mobile browser… like right now. More and more people are submitting online searches on their smartphones. Make sure your website translates online!

One of the most important things is making sure your company phone number is in plain text on your site and not part of an image. Phones like the iPhone and Droid will make text numbers clickable and people can make that phone call just by clicking on your phone number. Don’t lose that sale by making it hard for a mobile user to make a call to you when they need to.
