1999
- Hall Web Services starts life as Hall Marketing, a DBA on January 1, 1999.
- Current world headquarters are a spare bedroom/office at Tom Hall's house in Scarborough, Maine.
- 12 Clients.
2000
- Hall Incorporates as Local 207 Inc. DBA Hall Marketing.
- Begins to work with Best (later Sage) software partners.
- Moves office to a subleased 400 sq ft space in the Oak Hill Section of Scarborough.
2001
- 75 URLs under management.
- Begins to target national software technology market as SEO and Web Development Provider.
2002
- HM Solo Version 1 is launched.
- 100 URLs under management.
- Hall decides to define offering by vertical market and not locality.
- Moves from shared hosting reseller to real hosting provider.
2003
- HM Solo 2.0 is born.
- Moves to larger space (1100 sq ft) in same office building.
- Complete largest development project ever - over $200k.
- Annual Marketing budget =$0.
2004
- HM FTP is created.
- HM Shop modules are launched.
2005
- HM Solo 3.0 is launched.
- Over 40% of gross sales provided through reseller partners.
- Continues success in software and technology verticals.
2006
- Signs long term contract for hosting with Rackspace - the nation's leading managed hosting provider.
- Over 200 URLs under management.
- Awarded Sage MAP's Designation as a Marketing Assistance Partner for their 3000 company reseller network.
2007
- Changes name to Hall Web Services and changes logo - now just called Hall, by those who know us.
- Awarded Sage's Preferred Vendor Status.
- November 2007 Customer Survey showed 98% of responding customers are extremely likely to refer Hall to a friend or colleague.
- Funds the start up of Global Soundings, LLC a software company that creates innovative web based Search Marketing Tools.
- Signs 5 year, agreement to partner with Rackspace of San Antonio, TX to deliver an industry leading world class hosting environment to customers through 2012. Hall also doubles Windows hosting and SQL Server hosting capacity.
2008
- Expands into full audio and video production and marketing services.
- Awarded Sage's 4 Star Status as a Sage Preferred Vendor.
- Weekly Webcast series begins.
- Expands services to include Inbound Marketing Services.
- Hall's CEO, Tom Hall, speaks at Sage Insights - the National Conference of over 4000 Sage Partners.
- Moves global operations to new 4800 sq. ft. high security space in Portland, Maine.
- HM Solo 4.0 is complete and includes over 12 different website management modules.
- Share is created to allow secure ftp filesharing.
2009
- Global Soundings is live and Hall retains exclusive partnership. GS allows for daily tracking of site data.
- CMS offering now included complete managed system.
- Linux hosting environment is tripled in capacity.
- Adds New Staff in support of Inbound Marketing and Internet Strategy.
- Again awarded 4 Star Status as a Sage Preferred Vendor.
2010
- Hall named a Pine Tree Development Zone Company by the State of Maine.
- Hall Tools include SERP data, Site Statistics, Conversion Data and Social Media Mentions - offering a more complete user source and traffic model.
- Awarded Seed Grant to Develop Tools by Maine Technology Institute
