Gary Thayer, WordPress Developer at Hall Internet Marketing, has been selected to speak at this month’s Maine WordPress Meetup. Thayer’s presentation, “Getting Started with WordPress,” is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 6 to 8pm in the Business Innovation Center (Suite 206 of the Casco Bay Technology Hub). This event is free and open to the public.
February’s talk will be an introductory look at WordPress, the most popular content management system in use on the web. Thayer will address WordPress hosting and installation, as well as provide an overview on post types, themes, and plugins.
Since joining Hall in 2013, Thayer has been active member of Southern Maine’s WordPress community. He serves as a co-organizer of the Maine WordPress Meetup and WordCamp Maine. Thayer also presented at the first ever WordCamp Maine in August 2014.
Maine WordPress Meetup meets on the third Tuesday of every month. The group welcomes developers, designers, bloggers, and business owners who are interested in learning more about WordPress by hosting alternating events focusing on developer and user level topics.
