A special evening event celebrating 50 Social Media Breakfasts, September 12th, 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Portland’s Masonic Temple on Congress Street.
SMBME is celebrating its 50th SMBME! This special evening event will be a fundraiser to educate and help prevent cyberbullying. Jackie Ward from WCSH 6 will be co-hosting with two special speakers, Angela Giordano and Jason Gibbons who will be discussing real stories about cyberbullying right in our local community.
The first speaker, Angela Giordano is the Education Program Manager at Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine (SARSSM). Angela will be talking to us about the SARSMM program which reaches out to more than 8,000 students annually in Southern Maine. Known on the basketball court as “White Shadow”, Jason Gibbons from the Maine Red Claws and Bounce Out Bullying will also be talking about what the local community can do to stop cyberbullying.
