Google Analytics Team Speaks – How and When to Get Help With Your Analytics

The Google Analytics blog is a must-read if you’re interested in getting the most out of the powerful analytics platform and learning about changes from the horse’s mouth.  Google, as an organization, has been especially good about using video to share information, and their latest series which wrapped last Friday, Data Driven Discussions, is brilliantly shot, both useful and superbly produced.

The series provides insight on the challenges big organizations face to Analytics implementation, not only getting the tools installed, but using and reacting to the data.  In the videos are Nick Mihailovski, Google Analytics Developer Relations Manager, and Avinash Kaushik, Analytics Evangelist at Google.

The latest, and fairly close to our heart, was whether or not it’s a good idea to use an Agency to help you implement and analyze data.  To sum it up, Avinash Kaushik said that agencies are vital to get you started when you have no experience using Analytics, but long term larger businesses will want to develop their own team to handle day-to-day efforts and use agencies for strategic consulting.  Here’s the actual video:

If you like this kind of stuff, see the rest of the videos, including one on Bottlenecks for SMBs, and Bottlenecks for Implementation.   And of course, to keep your finger on the pulse of Goog in general, don’t forget that they have over 50 Twitter accounts to follow!
